Our Mission: To preserve, record, and share the rich history of Hockessin from the Native Americans to today. These topics include the Native Americans, the early settlers, the taverns which helped with people traveling, the Underground Railroad and slavery, trains and other forms of early transportation, the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, dairy and mushroom farming, kaolin clay mining, historic architecture, locally famous people, and events such as the Centenial Celebration and Bicentenial Celebration.
